This Platform Exists To Serve Three Priimary Purposes
- Recognition and Early Warning: It helps individuals understand the precise definition of cyberstalking and recognize early warning signs so they can take immediate preventive measures.
- Empowerment Through Education: The site provides practical safety tips, technical guidance, and legal support frameworks, forming a comprehensive baseline defense strategy to help victims fight back and regain control of their digital lives.
- Combating Isolation: Because cyberstalking is a deeply isolating and frightening experience, the platform explicitly exists to break that silence, remind targets that they are not alone, and offer a community focused on healing and vigilance.
Background
This website has been created by Sarli Jayakody (also known as Sarliya Jayakody) based on his personal experiences. Sarli Jayakody is a British-born citizen whose life took an unimaginable turn due to a rare tech-industry occurrence. Unlike others who sought online fame, Jayakody found himself at the centre of a relentless, multi-year digital campaign of cyberstalking and harassment.
How Sarli Jayakody Became a Cyberstalking Victim
The origin of Sarli Jayakody’s ordeal traces back to the release of the hit 2011 video game Batman: Arkham City, developed by Rocksteady Games. Through a connection with an employee at the studio, Jayakody’s real name was integrated into the game’s universe
While intended as an internal easter egg, the presence of his distinct name sparked an obsessive interest from a foreign national. A citizen of Finland, who developed a deeply fixated and delusional obsession with the real-world Sarli Jayakody.

What followed was a textbook case of FOUR (Fixated Obsessive Unwanted Repeated) Behaviour.
The stalker launched a campaign intended to intrude upon Jayakody’s digital privacy, flooding social networks with defamation, severe smear campaigns, and identity replication tactics.
Exposing the Truth: The Arkham City Stalker Website
Refusing to stay a silent victim, Sarli Jayakody launched his official blog, Arkham City Stalker. The website serves as a public ledger and digital evidence locker documenting the exact mechanics of the cyberstalking he faced.
Initially, Jayakody maintained his aggressor’s anonymity by blurring names and sensitive details in screenshots. However, as the digital harassment mutated into cross-platform identity theftincluding malicious actors setting up fraudulent clone sites to discredit him, the portal shifted toward total transparency. The site acts as a forensic deep dive into the psychology of a digital stalker, proving that accountability can be fought for entirely online.
Establishing the cyberstalking.uk Facebook Community
To expand his outreach, Jayakody created the official cyberstalking.uk Facebook Page.
- The Mission: It was engineered as a safe resource to encourage other cyberstalking victims to stand up for their human rights.
- The Content: The platform distributes practical security guidance, technical advice, and emotional support tools for navigating digital threats.
True to the relentless nature of obsessive stalkers, the page itself became a secondary target for his harasser. Jayakody used these renewed mirror attacks on the Facebook page to publicly demonstrate live mitigation strategies, turning a personal attack into an educational case study for his followers
Official Recognition by the UK Home Office
Jurastrictonal boundaries between the United Kingdom and Finland has complicated local law enforcement’s ability to halt the cross-border digital abuse. However, the documentation amassed across Jayakody’s digital hubs eventually reached parliamentary awareness.
In 2023 Sarli Jayakody presented the evidence to former Bedfordshire MP Andrew Selous, Which lead to the UK Home Office officially recognising Sarli Jayakody as a verified victim of cyberstalking and targeted online harassment.
This critical milestone validated his documentation and efforts to raise the issue he was facing.
